Match Preview: Leicester City

Leicester City Badge Picture
Leicester City have been disappointing over the past two seasons, and will hope this analogy of their perfomances doesn't continue into the 2005-2006 season. Leicester relegated from the premiership 2003-2004, finished a lowly 15th place last season, and are currently occupying the same spot this season, although victory on saturday could see the Foxes leapfrog the R's and possibly occupy 8th spot.
Leicester are definantly looking for promotion this season, and victory against the R's is quite neccessary for the Foxes, thus Holloways men are going to be in for a hard trip to The Walkers Stadium.luckily for the R's Leicester seem to be missing their leading scorer, David Connolly since his departure to Wigan, and perhaps this will be a factor in the result of saturdays game.
Team News
The Foxes rested alot of key players midweek in the Carling Cup victory against Blackpool, and all of which are expected to play against the R's. The players coming back from injury are, Gareth Williams, Danny Tiatto, Stephen Hughes, Alan Maybury, and Ian Hume, all of which are likely to feature in the Leicester squad Vs QPR.

My Prediction: Leicester 0-0 QPR

Kevin Gallen Is a lifelong R's fan livng out his dream of playing for QPR.

Rowlands Injury Blow

Martin Rowlands wont feature for the R's for another six weeks after tearing his medial knee ligament. Rowlands who has already missed six weeks of the season with the same injury that has once again hit him, picked up the injury in training after just making his comeback appearance in the second half against Leeds Utd. Prav Mathema the R's Physio told the clubs official website "Although the results aren't in yet it's likely he's going to be out for six weeks. It's a recurrence of the injury that kept him out previously." I'm sure Prav knows what his talking about and Rowlands absence will be deeply missed in the R's camp, i'm sure.

Miller Joins Posh

QPR LogoRangers Midielder Adam Miller has joined Peterborough United on a one month loan. The ex-Aldershot man is desperately seeking first team football since the arrival of two more midfielders to the R's squad, Richard Langley, and Steve Lomas. Miller should make his debut for the posh this weekend as they seek to climb into an automatic promotion place against fellow promotion seekers, Shrewsbury town.
Meanwhile fellow midfielder Marcus Bean is also in search for first team football. The one time first choice midfielder has recently slipped down the pecking order and making just 13 league appearances for the R's over the past two seasons. Bean is currently enjoying his second loan spell at Swansea.
Also Left Winger Aaron Brown has joined Cheltenham Town on a months loan deal. Aaron hasn't really had many first team opportunities since joining the R's and will relish the chance of first team football with Cheltenham.

Nationality: Nigerian
Height: 6'3'' (191cm)
Weight: 15 st 0lb (95.34Kg)
Position: Defender (Centre)

Arguably QPR's best player, Dan Shittu has constantly been linked with moves to the premiership. A move of which could see Dan's career take off, but at the same time see the R's go in the opposite direction. Big Dan started his career with Charlton, but never played a competitive game. He had a brief loan spell at Blackpool before moving to the R's for £1/4million. Since joining the R's Shittu has made over 130 full appearancesas as the rock in Rangers defence, enjoying promotion as runners up season 2002-2003 along the way.
